How bullies have moved from the playground to the web

In May I posted some evidence on the extent of bullying experienced by school children in Ireland drawing on data from the Growing Up In Ireland study. As I noted electronic bullying (i.e via phone or internet) was comparatively rare although this may be partly a function of the children’s’ age (9). Cyber-bullying is certainly an unwelcome feature of the modern age. Recently I came across this article on how bullies have “moved from the playground to the web” from a US perspective. It has a particularly effective graphic to illustrate the problem.
